Meet the Staff of Vintage Rose Emporium and On A Personal Note Fine Stationery

Sarah Jones, Owner
Sarah bought the store in 2001. Prior to owning the store, Sarah practiced law full-time in Murray for seven years. A graduate of the University of Kentucky and UK College of Law, she had been a longtime customer of the store and has a lifelong love affair with china and crystal and weddings in general. The store was a way of taking a passion and turning it into a career. She loves to hear your suggestions about new lines and ways we can improve our registry. She is married to Chuck Jones of C.A. Jones Management Group. Sarah has a daughter, Chaney Curd, who is a 14 and attends Murray High School and a son, Jack, who is 6 and our Chief Security Officer at the store.

Gail Baust
Gail can offer a true expert opinion to customers of the store as she holds a Master’s in Interior Design from Murray State University. She enjoys painting and has provided her design skills to our displays. Gail is married to Joe Baust, a professor at MSU, and has three children, Joey, a pediatrician in Newport News, Virginia; Leah, a mother of two who also lives in Newport News, VA and Edward, who lives and works in New York. Gail is also a proud grandmother (four times now) and will be glad to show you pictures!

Debbie Burchett
Debbie brings a bundle of energy and a ton of enthusiasm to her work! Her favorite lines in the store are Aromatique and Vera Bradley. She is great with gift ideas and will be thrilled to help you put together something special for your registry. Debbie is married to Mike Burchett and has two sons, Josh and Brent. Debbie is our “survivor” of the group; having conquered spinal meningitis and a mild stroke in a few years ago. When she is not at Vintage Rose, you might find her working on their family farm. She says this is her girly job.

Gina Claiborne
Gina has the longest history in the bridal registry business of anyone at Vintage Rose. From the time she was a teenager, she worked at The Showcase in Murray which offered bridal registry and wedding gowns. She now brings her experience and lifelong love of tableware to our store and specializes in the bookkeeping and management of our registered brides and in getting gifts ready for showers. She loves to gift wrap and does a beautiful job. She will also assist you with anything at On A Personal Note. Gina is married to Danny Claiborne, who is the Chair of the Engineering Department at MSU and they have one son, Wes, who is a youth minister in Bowling Green and recently married.

Debbie Housden
Debbie has years of experience in retailing; coming from Corn-Austin where she spent many years as the ladies department manager. She and her husband, James, have been married for 44 years and have two children, Gaye and Jay. She has two granddaughters; Isabelle who she babysits for on Tuesdays and Thursdays; and Markie, who works fulltime at The Plaid Rabbit in Murray. She also has a precious grandson, Cooper! Debbie is our Pandora jewelry and Tyler candle expert. She also enjoys helping customers with handbags and accessories. Plus, she makes the best poppy seed cake in the world! We are glad to have her on staff.

Michelle Bundren
Michelle has been here over four years and is our Store Manager. She is On A Personal Note's Stationery & Invitation specialist. She is a 2004 graduate of Murray State University with a degree in Public Relations and Marketing. She is the former Michelle Houser and is married to Tim Bundren, a teacher at North Marshall Middle School. They have an adorable son named Griff. You will find Michelle working all over the store, but especially receiving all of the inventory in the back.

Beth Ann Pounds
Beth Ann, our Assistant Manager, is the newest addition to the Vintage Rose family. She has a history of retail experience working with two of the other stores under the C.A. Jones Management Group, Elements and The Butcher Block. She is a 2006 graduate from Murray State University with a degree in Animal Health Technology and a 2009 graduate with her Master’s in Agriculture. She is the former Beth Ann Dunavant and is married to Justin Pounds, the facilities coordinator for C.A. Jones Management Group. They came together from Southeast Missouri to make Murray their new home. They have a cat named Miss Kitty who doesn’t realize she’s a cat!
